Mr. Mehul Patel,
For welding 25CrMo4 steels, a 175 to 250-degree C preheat is suggested to avoid
hot cracks, martensite forming, and residual stress concentration. Avoid rapid cooling
to control increased hardness and brittleness.
E/ER 80S B2 contains around 0.08% C, 1.30% Cr, 0.55% Mo, and UTS & YS are 590
& 490 MPa, and compatible with base metal.
Sridhar.
