Re: [MW:29057] PWHT Requirment for ASME B31.8 and NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156

Hi,

In any case of 31.4 or 31.8, VIII shall be applied as per 12.1 of W-012, in that case para 12.6 (a) stipulated very stringently in your subject, which delibrately mentioned ''any reduction or alternative temp below normal holding temperature is not permitted''.

Moreover VIIIs clause of more than 32 mm exempting with preheat comes with 32 through 38 mm thickness only and say me more about your project approved ''LINE LIST / NDE MATRIX''.

Thanks.

Subject: [MW:29056] PWHT Requirment for ASME B31.8 and NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156
Dear Experts,
Can any one confirm the PWHT requirment for B31.8 piping code. Shall we exempt PWHT requirment over 32mm thickness by aplication of preheating and achieving hardness below 250 HV10.

Regards,
Darshan
