If you use a Plate it will be 150mm x 150mm with 38mm wide of weld metal for necessary tests to be performed.

If you use a Pipe, length shall be 150mm and deposited weld shall be minimum of 38mm wide and it depends on the diameter to obtain the necessary test coupons.
