Re: [MW:24258] Above ground storage tank

Dear Experts,

As per API 650, the following s has to be followed. And no where in
API it is mention replacement of RT to UT.

As per API 650 Cls 8.1.29, after Weld visual inspection necessary
Radiography should be carried out.

a) For double-welded butt joints, one spot radiograph shall be taken
on 10 % of the radial joints.
b) For single-welded butt joints with permanent or removal backing
strip, one spot radiograph shall be taken on 50 % of the radial
joints.
The minimum radiographic length of each radial joints shall be 150 mm.
Locations of radiographs shall be at the outer edge of the joint where
the shell plate and annular plate joints.
