Filler material chemistry will have variation with welded chemistry.

SS filler meal will have additional Cr & Ni to compensate evaporation losses 
during welding. Hence welding to be carried out using particular filler metal 
and it's chemistry to be analysed as per code. 

You have to follow ASME sec. II part C and respective classification. For example 
SS filler wire comes under SFA 5.9. GMAW filler metal specified under SFA. 5.18 
and like wise.
