Dear Sombir ;
Most ITP (inspection test pack ) amends Hardness testing after PWHT .
Keep in mind that witnessed hardness test will require presence of RT report and PWHT report and thermal graph.
purpose of hardness testing is to verify that stress relief was properly done and base metal is in the right eutectic phase .
Regards
Elias

> Dear sir,
> We can do hardness prior to pwht. Please go ahead and do it without any hesitation and cross check it with given table.
> Also in some cases we can exempt pwht if hardness value finds within range. For this please refer ASME code.
