The WPS is not approved. The WPS is qualified based on a PQR.
A WPS has always to be revised in order to give direct guidance to the welder to perform a specific work.
If the revised WPS is covered by an existing PQR it is OK.
If not, a new PQR has to be issued

- Dear Experts,
As per ASME, Welder is qualified to weld fillet joint, if he is qualified on groove joint. My question is -------------
Wps approved for groove joint is applicable for fillet joint?
If so where it is stated.
cordially,
