Re: [MW:23210] Hydrotest after Addl. Nozzle provision

Sir,
Thank you very much for the information. Also pls let me know the clause in API 650, not to do Hydrotest after modification below 12" nozzle.

Dear kishor,

Hydrotest condition for the tank made up by API 650 is the requirements of carring out major repair means minimum 12 inch nozzle replacement or addition under the working height of liquid.
It means you don't have to do Hydrotest just do the pneumatic at 15 psig for reinforcement pad.

Dear Members,

We have constructed API 650 storage tank (28m Dia x 16.5m HT), hydro test, painting and calibration has been completed. But now client requires additional 10" nozzle in the tank.
If i provide 10" nozzle now, whether i have to do hydro test again or pneumatic test is sufficient. If so, please let me know the clause with Ref. Std.
Kindly suggest me.

Thanks in Advance.
