Re: [MW:23177] Pressure testing for in service exchanger

1.5 times. better you do helium leak test to identify any leaks in tubes to baffle welds

Dear experts

I have problem regarding Pressure testing for in service vessel.
1). As per API 510 pressure test required after any repair or alteration. And as per the code requirements it is 1.5*mawp*stress ratio. But my question is we did not conduct any repair or alteration on the exchanger we want know the any leaks present inside tubes and is there any deference between inspection pressure test(leak identification for the tubes only) and standard pressure test as per design pressure.
2).If there is a difference STD hydro test and leak inspection test for tubes.which type of pressure test we need to conduct to identify the leaks and at what pressure we need conduct.
