Dear Experts
My question is that is ASME Sec VIII or AWS D1.1 or any other codes Prohibit manufacturer to use the GMAW welding process, and if we can use GMAW welding what care we should take while welding Parts of Pressure Vessels
In general i have seen people using TIG welding or SMAW welding , sometimes FCAW too but why not GMAW

Thanks
Vivek
