Hi Biplab,

 

I presume the qualified PQR in 2005 was specific to this WPS. If so , and provided  the current welding requirements  are the same to what the 2005 WPS was written and the PQR was qualified, the balance  materials from the same test coupon may be used for additional ferrite testing.

 

However identification, traceability , relevance of all the documents to the current requirements has to be evaluated, and your client has to concur, before one pursues the same path.

 

Could you be specific, on what was done vs., what's the additional requirement?

Client need additional Ferrite test on weld as per Client Std.

Can we use the previous test coupon for ferrite test or we can prepare a new coupon to do the additional Ferrite test.
