[MW:18325] Is SMAW is restricted to small bore pipe i.e., below 50 NB

Dear Experts!
At our project Hydraulic service pipe line is there, we
have to weld the 15 NB size, A312 TP-304L material pipe (butt & socket
joints). So, our client suggest that go for GTAW and please tell me in
which code it is given as my client said.

Thanks in advance
