Mr. Ranendra Chakraborty,
E Ni-Fe-CI with 45% Ni generally recommended for repair welding of CI.
E Ni-CI with 98% Ni is also recommended for repair welding of CI.
E Ni-Cu B with 70% Ni(+) Cu could be used for repair welding of CI.
Welds done with above electrodes are machinable and are Ok for CI (+) MS welding except that, due to NI addition,we can not expect colour matching.
The cost factor of the electrodes are high.
E St-Low Hydrogen type electrode could be used for repair welding of CI and CI to MS.
Colour matching is good, but non machinable and preheating to en extent of 350 deg and above are required.
On same basis, you can use E7018, E7016, E8018-G (with1.25% Ni addition) for welding CI to MS. All are moderately priced.
In all the cases, peening (short hammering) of each weld bead layer is recommended to avoid stress concentration which will lead to cracking during welding.
Sridhar.

Dear All, That's the correct recommendation, I have seen many times in this forum people misusing the forum to abuse other's products and promote their products especially some so called "REPUTED " companies.

Hats off to Mr.Saleem for giving a codified product as solution than giving a brand & promoting it.
