Re: [MW:15376] Consumable storage in AC room

: It is recommended that the WB range of electrodes are stored in a dry heated store at a minimum
temperature of 18°C and a maximum relative humidity of 60%.  To avoid damage to the coatings no more
than 6 cartons should be stacked on top of another

Dear Mr Naresh,

Before using the electrodes, one has to pre- heat them in order to remove the moisture from the electrodes. If the electrodes are not kept in non-humidity controlled environment, there is always a possibility to absorb more moisture and thus during welding, problems arises.

Dear experts,

Whether welding consumable storage in air-conditioned
(AC) room is acceptable, including low hydrogen and SS electrodes. Ex: E9018-B9,E7018-1,E316L
etc.,

Thanks & Regards,
Naresh
