Hi

Its not an easy task to weld Al bronze.
What is your base material grade ?
Clean base metal and filler wire before welding.
Use 99.995% pure argon.
Preheat 150 – 180 ˚C
Inter pass temperature @200 ˚C.
Inter run cleaning is very important to remove surface oxides

Hi Sirs,

Currently, I am doing procedure for Aluminium Bronze (61400) using GTAW ( ERCuAl-A2) process by Argon shielding gas but found that fusion of filler metal & base metal is not nice.

Can anyone advice?

Thanks and regards,

Bo
