Before using the electrodes, one has to pre- heat them in order to remove the moisture from the electrodes. If the electrodes are not kept in non-humidity controlled environment, there is always a possibility to absorb more moisture and thus during welding, problems arises.

Whether welding consumable storage in air-conditioned
(AC) room is acceptable,including low hydrogen and SS electrodes. Ex: E9018-B9,E7018-1,E316L
