[MW:15337] RE: 15332] MPT test method to check the Lamination on the Bevel Edge.

Dear Biplab

It depends on what type of defects you expect.

If it is surface defect then AC mode is sufficient.

If any near to surface defects are expected, then DC ( either HWDC or FWDC) can be used.

You may kindly refer to ASTM E1444 for the code reference.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [MW:15332] MPT test method to check the Lamination on the Bevel Edge.

Dear Exparts,

I have a doubt regarding MPT method.

I am going to check the lamination of plates from the bevel edges.

What MPT current mode should we use.

Is it AC or HWDC?

Please share your knowledge and code references.
