Re: [MW:15367] Pipe Alignment tolerances as per ASME B31.3

Hi,

As per knowledge no need to follow the ASME B31.3 IN this case, check and confirm the fit-up in line if fabricated in shop or in field.
Second monitor the joint weld after and during the welding process of two pipes or spools .

Third one , check the straightness of pipe before welding.(solution make straight)

fourth one , check structure alignment is correct or not.(if concrete beam advised to make level )

finally try to put seam to maintain the level .

But After reading your question i am on conclusion that check support weld and welding process .

Thank you.

Dear Experts,

We are going to erect the pipe in the pipe rack. The construction is erecting pipe, doing fit-up, and welding. But pipe line in the rack is not straight. they are going the way like snake. Our consturction code is ASME B31.3 process piping. I wanted to know what is the acceptance criteria for the straightness if the line pipe.
Please provide the reference.
