Refer the note B of Table 1 in SA516
"For each reduction of 0.01 percentage point below the specified maximum for carton, an increase of 0.06 percentage point above the specified maximum for manganese is permitted, up to a maximum of 1.50% by heat analysis and 1.60% by product analysis".

Subject: [MW:9821] SA 516 Gr.60 high in manganese-accept or reject
Dear all,
We have received MTC for SA 516 Gr.60 plate of 10mm thickness with manganese of 1.47%,the lab test also give the same.
is it acceptable as per SA 516 SPEC.
Please confirm shall we accept or reject the plates,we have procured more tonnes of materails & started fabrication?
what shall we do in this stage?
How to overcome this issue ,pls guide
