Re: [MW:9967] P1 no Range

Dear Colleagues,
Can anybody help me in describing method to select Electrode for welding SS to M.S ( IS2062 Gr.A to SS 410).
As per sextion IX table QW 442, A no. will be 6 ( is it ok) and how i can find F no. w.r.t A no. whether there is any coorelation of A no. with F no. or not? OR their function is different w.r.to each other. please help.

If  the F no. is to be selected by experience then how the table of F no. in QW 432 is helpful.

Warm regards,

puneet takiar

Dear Puneet,

IS 2062 Gr A, is unlisted , but max. properties were equalent to P1. but while preparing WPS/PQR use Material Spec as IS 2062 GrA .

SS 410 is Martensitic Steels, its P No is 6
