Re: [MW:9980] LTCS

Normally the Designer selects materials for High Temperature or Low temperature based on the allowable Stress values of the Applicable Code like ASME Sec.IID or ASME B31.3

For Piping,for High temperature applications we select ASTM A106 Gr.B & for low temperature applicable one may select ASTM A 333 Gr.6. This is only an example.

The Chemistry and Heat Treatment requirement shall comply with the Applicable Material standard/specification like A106Gr.B or A333 Gr.6.

If the Heat number is same and all the requirements of the specifications are complied, then it is considered acceptable.
