Your piping fitting is A234 WPB. Am I correct?
All products furnished to A 234 standard shall be manufactured in accordance to the section 6 of A234. The section 6 says that all welds shall be radiography examined in accordance with article 2, ASME V with acceptance criteria in accordance with section UW-51 of ASME VIII.
For repair, see specification A960.
However, to the best of my understanding, the repair welding should only be done by the manufacturer (not by purchaser).
Other things is; how come an ICP occur? As far I know, all product furnished under this specification have been tested and meet to the acceptance limit. I can say, all products are good quality before delivered to the purchaser. I trust you have the copy of mill test certificate.
i recommend you to raise an SQ (site query).Take a careful on this.
Let this helps.
