[MW:9984] TECHNICAL CLARIFICATION 1- WPS AND PQR

Dear friends,

I have few question related to WPS, I am trying to check whether it complies to XI though I am not  CSWIP certified or a welding engineer, appreciate if you could provide some information to me on the  following

1-      Is it mandatory to mention the qualified weld metal thickness on WPS, if yes  what should be qualified weld metal thickness for a test coupon 9 mm thick and welded by GMAW and SAW process , should it be 2t as per table QW 451.1?  How to find ‘’ t’’ before doping welding?

2-      Is it mandatory to mention the lot number of flux& wire on the WPS, if No could you please provide me reason?

3-      My understanding is if the welding is single pass than interpass temperature does not come into picture is it true?

Thanks & Regards
Syed Moin
