[MW:9961] Back weld in large pore dia pipe.

Dear All,
Let me know, what type of problem will come in back welding for large pore dia. pipe? As per company spec. the back welding is essential variable. If we want to do any inside weld  have to make new WPS and get approval from company .
For ex. if any repair comes in root , in high thk. of weld for more than 25 mm , even easy to remove from inside why should remove from out side of pipe. what type of problem will come ?
In final pass the hardness will be higher i agree. any other ???????
