Re: [MW:9710] Welding on top of a weld

support overlapping /coinciding with butt weld is not allowed.
At least 25 mm gape to be maintained between two welds.

Hello,

I have a case where the edge of the saddle of a pipe support coincides with the pipe's butt weld. Code is B31.1-2007. The edge is supposed to be fillet welded onto the pipe.
Is this permissible?

Thanks

Johnson
