RE: [MW:8616] Mechanized welding process and pipe ovality

Eduardo,

Look for in ASME B31.4, there is the tolerance for ovality.
The better way to inspect or verify the ovality is passing a wood circular plate inside pipes pipes, the diameter of the plate has to be the stablished according to the ASME B31.4 tolerance for ovality.

Thanks and regards

Dear all, I'd like to know what's the better pipes ovality tolerance in order to use a Mechanized welding process in pipelay?

And what's the better way to inspect or verify the ovality.

Thanks

Eduardo Calva
