[MW:8560] Re: Electrode or filler wire EN 10204 / Chemistry?

Dear Mr. Brennan,

As already stated by Mr. Shadab Alam Ansari specification EN 10204 is
only referencing to the type of material certificates you can have for
materials.
When you want to determine the required filler metal we need to know
which kind of material you have to weld, in case of cranes I assume it
will be a high tensile steel.
As soon as you have determined the filler metal you need than you have
to order this with a certificate according to EN 10204 but be aware
you can have different types of certificate so you need to know which
one your client is asking for.

Best Regards,

Herman Pieper
