[MW:4250] RE: 4246] WPS without Impact Test

"QW-203  Limits of Qualified Positions for Procedures

Unless specifically required otherwise by the welding variables (QW-250, a qualification in any position qualifies the procedure for all positions.  The welding process and electrodes must be suitable for use in the postions permitted by the WPS.  A welder or welding operator making and passing the WPS qualification test is qualified for the psotion tested.  See QW-301.2."

Therefore in general, without impacts qualification in any position will qualify all postions.  However, you should verify that the process does not have special limitations on position(s) - you do this by looking at the tables QW-252 thru QW-265 as appropriate and also by reviewing the requirements for special processes per QW-283 through QW-290 if applicable.
