Since the Code is Sect I + B31.1 you have to use PG-10. The  approach is similar to UG-10.  Since you lack full identification  and If you know the spec of the materials then you implement PG-10.2 . If not then you implement PG-10.3. In both cases you have to perform chemical analysis and mechanical tests

         How can I recertify raw pipes, where the material certificates are missing/cannot be recovered..! The code of construction is ASME Sec I & B31.1. As per Sec viii UG-10, is it possible to recertify pipes that don't have certificates, by performing mechanical tests? Please share your knowledge with regard to this. Your reply would be highly appreciated.
