For Steel structural items you can propose NDT as per AWS D1.1. Acceptance criterias are given for all NDT.

Many time for some odd jobs, we find the contractor is not clear on what is acceptable when NDT is conducted.

For example, we had to UT some welds on a repaired columns of a gantry crane.

There was no reference Code of construction.

Therefore, will you please help me in knowing what Codes are applicable to what type of jobs and what is their respective acc criteria references?
