1st. Check your job specifications for guidance for this unique situation.
2nd. Check your code of construction i.e. B31.3 B31.1 for same thing.
 In my opinion the weld joint should not be bearing on a structural member because you are unable to perform any full circumfrential
.NDE on the weld.
Also, over time the movement of the pipe in operation will wear away the weld.

Dear experts,

We need your kind support based on your experience and any code/std references.

The situation is that some of our process piping in refinery division THE CIRCUMFERENTIAL JOINT has come such position that the joint rests on the structural beam.
Is it allowed?

Some inspector have a concern that there is a developed stress while operation and the joint may fail.

Please share your experience and reference.
