Re: [MW:26278] Re: SA 387 Gr. 11

  1. with what method that I need to use when I want to Joint Plate for Type material like SA-387 Gr. 11 to SA 516 Gr. 70. and what kind of Electrode that I need to use? is it enough using ER 80S B2 in Gtaw?
Yes, but take when PWHT, be on the lower side of the temperature range
  1. Similiar to question above, What Kind of method that I will use when want to join material Plate like SA240 Gr. 304H to SA-387 Gr. 11?
When PWHT: butter Gr. 11 with 2 layers on Inconel 625, do PWHT, remachine (or grind) weldbevel  and make final weld with Inconel, without PWHT
No PWHT: preheat to 120 degrees centigrade and weld with either 309 wire or Inconel 625, beware of interpass for Inconel being 150 degrees, also limit heat input to 1.2 kJ/mm
