[MW:26243] RE: 26238] Shielding gas for GMAW pulsed welding-Carbon Steel

Hi Aby,

More enriched version of mixed gases, e.g. 90Ar+10 O2 or other Ar enriched blends may help. Look at this guide ,which has few  good recommendations about shielding gases.

Thanks.

Subject: [MW:26238] Shielding gas for GMAW pulsed welding-Carbon Steel

Dear all,

What shielding gas should be used for the pulsed GMAW welding of carbon steel? When trying with 80%Ar+20%CO2 mixture I am getting a lot of spatters. The welding used is Automatic welding with Robotic machine.

Any recommendations???

Regards,

Aby
