Re: [MW:23028] pneumatic test of RF pad of nozzle

Dear Mr.Rahul,

The pneumatic test of RF pad is done to ensure that no leak is there inside the area of RF pad. That is, particularly in the nozzle to vessel joint and RF pad to nozzle joint. The integrity of  fillet weld of RF pad to vessel is also ensured by this process ( It is ensured that no leak is  there inside the RF pad, due to welding of the RF pad to vessel joint)

In the pressure test of vessel, leak inside the RF pad may not get detected, if the % of leak is very less.
