Re: [MW:19630] MPT for fasteners - Yoke technique

Dear Prem Sir,
Good afternoon
Yes ,you can use this technique , but before using this technique ,you have to revise your MT procedure and add yoke technique in the procedure and send for client approval.

Thanks & Regards.

Hi friends

We have approved an MPT procedure for fasteners -- SA 193M Gr B7, full threaded studs, M42 X 2700 mm long which are going to be used for an heat exchanger.

Approved MPT procedure mentions coil shot and head shot technique for the studs.

However vendor does not have facility for head shot / coil shot technique and has Yoke technique facility.

Vendor has requested for Yoke technique for these studs instead of head shot/coil shot.

Can we accept Yoke technique for these size of studs ?

Regards
