Catch SDH with 1/2, 1 and 1.5 BP....for T joint configuration with less thickness use 70 & 80 degree probe. Do coverage plots then u know 70 or 80 are the best probe to get full volume coverage in this case.

UT operator is preparing DAC curves (for angle probes) catching echoes directly from side drilled holes (¼ t and ½ t) and catching ¾ t SDH echo after bouncing from opposite side.

Our scanning area on weld joint is ½ to 1 ½ skip for 100mm thick weld joint but the DAC curve which is prepared as mentioned above, does not cover most of the scanning and I feel that most of echoes from discontinuity is missing due to the same problem.

Please advise me to resolve this confusion
