Joint Configuration - Double-V with 1/3 and 2/3 bevel configuration
Root Gap - 5mm / Root Face-2mm / Groove Angle-Refer attached
Test Position-3G Vertical-Up.
Backing Strip - Round Ceramic Backing Strip used
Backgouging- Yes - 2nd side ( 1/3 bevel side )
CVN -40 deg Celcius
Question
1- Can this be used to weld Single-V Joint Configuration with Ceramic Backing Strip ( No Back gouging )
2- Pls explain as simple as possible - Table 4.5-Item 34-The omission, but not inclusion, of backing or back gouging
3 - What is the max root gap allowed?
4 - What are Joint Type can be welded ?
