This type of electrodes fall under A.No.10 and are used when Impact test is applicable. Most client specification restricts using same Brand as used in PQR Qualification.
Hence confirm whether you are using the same combination of Brand as used in PQR.

Dear expertsKindly guide me Using of electrodes (2.5mm) one brand upto certain thickness and using 3.2 mm electrodes of other brand in remaining thickness. Our scope is welding of 12mm thick Pipe in offshore platform. we have 3.2mm electrodes of Manitowoc and 2.5mm electrodes of ESAB. Specification of electrode is AWS A5.5, E9018M-H4.As per my opinion with the same mechanical properties can be used. Guide me if any thing is different.--Best RegardsT.V.Ramana
