Please advise optimum method to detect corrosion internal corrosion at weld joint (for carbon steel, stainless steel SS 316L and duplex stainless steel – UNS 31803
1. Is angle UT flaw detector is adequate measure internal corrosion with good probability of detection (POD)? Is angle UT flaw detector similar to UT Shear wave?
2. I would expect a screening NDT method, if there is some evidence of internal corrosion from screening NDT method , then go for detail NDT to assess the extent of the internal corrosion. What are these NDT methods?
Regards
