Re: [MW:13831] cutting of Ti plate

Yes Titanium can be cut by Gas cutting(oxy-fuel method) but around 3mm of the base metal need to be grinded after cutting.

Other methods are Plasma cutting, Laser cutting and Water-jet cutting.

Subject: [MW:13822] cutting of Ti plate

Dear Experts

I would appreciated if someone share me some information/reference regarding cutting Ti (B265-Gr2), as I studied AWS welding handbook we can use oxyfule method with some additional grinding/machining after cutting to remove hardened area around cut place, is there any other method that I can use?

Regards.
