Re: [MW:6281] Mechanical Tests for PQR

Nandesh,

I am not much bothered about project specifications as it vary depends on operating company or main contractor requirements.I feel it is baseless and useless sometimes when we are thinking logically. So ,I am searching for answers based on code(ASME BPV,API 1104 and AWS D1.1),that is why I mentioned the corresponding codes clearly in my query.Expecting some contribution from other members of this forum

Thanks and Regards

Limesh,

Go through the applicable code and project specs....each code/spec needs different tests, though there are some common tests.

Dear All,

What are all the mechanical tests rquired during PQR with respect to
different codes like ASME BPV,API 1104 and AWS D1.1?Is chemical
analysis mandatory requirement for PQR?Is it possible to waive Macro
examination? It will be highly appreciated if any one could explain in
detail with example.

Thanks and Regards,

Limesh
