Re: [MW:6260] How to select the IQI wire

This for sample, 6" sch 80 is 0.432 in (10.973 mm) if Low pressure it would be 13.973mm thickness + reinforcement included, use ASTM 1B or 10 FE EN

Make sure ASTM or EN or what kind IQI mentioned in RT procedure.

Dear Venkat

Applicable test standards: ASME Sect. V Art.2 for procedure, Pipe 6" SCH80, norm. Thk 11.0. Exp. Technical: DWSI, IQI on film side, essential wire number 6 (dia. 0.25) So you can select ASTM 1A 6 or ASTM 1B 11.

Venkat,

Which IQI? ASTM, DIN(ISO), FE EN? all differes and depends upon thickness of the object being radiographed...Diameter is not  a concern.

Nandeesh
