If we are discussing Aluminium welding, can we pl.discuss the NDT of the same.
If UT of the welds by Aluminium to be done for thickness 6 to 12mm, is there any technique for the same.
pl.share your experience.

Hello Elshan ,
You may try the following:--
* Change the filler wire to 4043 ,as the filler contains slightly
more Silicon, it would help in the weld puddle, with good fluidity and
wetting.
* Use the correct mandrel diameter for bending Aluminum, check
with ASME Sec-IX-, QW-466.1 for the correct mandrel diameters. As this
alloy (6082-T-651) is aged after solution treatment , ductility
is generally at the lower end(poor).
* If you can get alloys with lower iron content ( Fe typically 0.5
max) it would help. Iron generally reduces ductility, through formation of
second phase ,such as intermetallic phases (see the attached document FYI)
I hope the solutions mentioned above would help you. Feel free to share your
further experiences on this issue .
Thanks

Dear friends,
I need to run the new WPS in Aluminium steel plate using the attached grade
of Aluminum plate.
How many times I have tried but I can not get the acceptable results from
bend test.
It is broken after slight bending.
Can you help me please how to weld it to get the acceptable results from
bending?
The wire I am using is ER5356 which is recommended for this type of AL.
Best regards,
