[MW:9789] Re: thickness of WELDOLETS

Ali,

Post Weld heat treatment is governed by thickness of base pipe / Run
Pipe and as per table 331.1.1 of ASME B 31.3.

In most of the cases Run Pipe thickness is greater than or Equal to
Branch Pipe.


If you're run pipe falls under PWHT category than u have to do the
PWHT for that joint.
