[MW:9696] RE: P no for SA-194 Grade 2H nuts

Dear All,

Many times we find in heat Exchangers that SA-194 Gr.2H nut is used with bolting bar in tack welding condition.

Since these nuts are not allowed for welding, which nuts can be used in their place as per ASME Sec-IX?

SA-36 Nuts are difficult to manufacture and not readily available on time. This causes delay in the projects.

Please suggest.
