Dear Jayesh:
NACT is Normalizing and Accelerated Cooling & Tempering. The Accelerated cooling is critical (by air blasting or quenching) but it all depends on final results. If mechanical properties of the final product meet your min. requirements, there should not be anything to worry about. Accelerated cooling is crucial for preventing grain growth and if you decide to just proceed with cooling in air, you might run into problems with your final assembly.

i purchase SA387 plate in NACT condition. But in my fabrication process i have to give one intermediate normalizing. So, this intermediate normalizing cycle also follow NACT cycle ? Or i only normalized and then tempered material, it will ok or Not ?--
