Preheating is a must for these materials, because of carbon content (nearl %0,40) 300 C preheating is necessary and low cooling rate. After welding it's better to use pwht (normalizing)
-- ER80S-B2 - (CrMo1), E8018-B2 (CrMo1) can be used or some of dissimilar consumables, such as ER307 (18 8 Mn), ER312 (29 9)

Dear experts,
Kindly advice which welding consumable should I select for following material:
1. 4140 SMAW,GTAW,FCAW,SAW
2. 4130 SMAW GTAW FCAW SAW
Since above listed both material are high tensile material, is there any special heat treatment or welding condition need to be taken into consideration for better mechanical result.
Kindly advice
