You can reffer 5.4.2.2  in  API-1104 ,for Base material gruops As Group-A,Group-B,Group-C.depending up on the yield strength.

If i use API 5L Gr B and API 5L x 52 Gr pipe in one project. Both are different group material As per API 1104 i want both different 

Qualify welding procedure(WPS).But as per API 1104 Base material is not mention.(see 6.2.2 in API 1104)So can i one time qualify 

welder in API 5L Gr B or Gr x 52?will be welder qualify in both WPS?


Remark:

1)Welding Process is same for both wps.

2)Electrode is also same in both wps.

3)Outside dia and thickness is aslo same  in both wps.

4)Only Base material is change in both wps.



So please solve my quarry about it.
