Usually it is not required to do impact testing if u have not done it for original sample.

But you will have to provide more info, whether Preheat & PWHT was done for the original sample.

Well in normal practice we use the same procedure as that of welding for repairs also.
If anyways for some reason we need to qualify the procedure , then it has to be as per requirements of section IX, does not matter for what application (normal weld or repair ) it is.
