Refer QW-451.1 , If the WPS is without Impact testing requirement, then :
1. The base material thickness will be 5mm to 20.62 mm.
2. Deposited weld metal thickness for GTAW will be 8 mm Maximum.
3. Deposited weld metal thickness for SMAW will be 12.62 mm Maximum.
You can make both the WPSs with the above mentioned qualification ranges.

Dear All,Note-1:A PQR was Impact tested at -46 C, on a 12" Dia Pipe Sch 40 (Wall Thickness=10.31mm) Deposited Weld Metal: GTAW=4mm & Balance SMAW.
Note-2: The WPS Supported by Above PQR is not Impact tested Designed Welding.
Q: Can this Impact Tested PQR support a non Impact Tested WPS which is to be used for Welding of D-catagory(B31.3-300.2) Piping.(Non LTCS).
Q: What will be the ranges of qualification of deposited metal & base metal.
Q If we want to make two WPSs from this PQR (1- for GTAW for Small Thickness Welding & 2- for GTAW/SMAW for larger thickness). What to do?
Any code case, ASME IX interpretation or reference that we can refer to.Regards--
